Alarm Management News: Liquefied Natural Gas Facility Deploys AlarmAnalyst site-wide. (Jan 2012) Oman LNG, located in the middle east country of Oman, has successfully implemented AlarmAnlayst site-wide to help monitor and improve alarm safety within their operations. The alarm management system connects to their Yokogawa plant control systems to provide high level web reports displaying complete overviews of production areas as well as interactive drill downs of trip incidents. The interactive desktop clients provides easy to use tools to quickly investigate excessive alarms, operator actions and underlying conditions effecting performance and safety. Shell Oil expands AlarmAnalyst for Motoring Off-shore platforms and Gas Facilities. (Nov 2011) Located off the coast of Brunei, Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) has completed an expansion of their AlarmAnalyst alarm management system to include all facilities using Foxboro I/A. Sites covered in this expansion includes their flagship Champion off-shore platform, numerous other platforms as well as on-shore gas facilities. The alarm management system allows Shell to centrally manage alarm conditions on-shore and implement more effective alarm strategies to help improve safety and equipement performance. Portland General Electric deploys AlarmAnalyst for monitoring their power generation facilities. (Aug 2011) Portland General Electric (PGE), supplier of electrical power to more than 1.6 Million customers in 52 cities, has deployed AlarmAnalyst to help monitor their operations. The system connects to several ABB and GE control systems and provides long term historization and analysis of alarms and events. By implementing this alarm management system, PGE is able to more closely monitor equipment operation and help ensure higher reliably and plant safety. Arcelor Mittal Dofasco Expands installation of AlarmAnlayst. (Nov 2011) Dofasco, one of the world's leading integrated steel mills, has implemented AlarmAnalyst to help monitor operations at their #3 Blast Furnace. The addition of #3 Blast furnace will help Dofasco to more proactively monitor production and safety within their iron making facilities. Other operations currently utilizing AlarmAnalyst at Dofasco include their continuous caster, coke and by-products facilities as well as their #2 and #4 Blast Furnaces. Worlds largest Open Pit Copper Mine Upgrades installation of AlarmAnlayst. (Aug 2011) Kennecott Utah Copper (KUCC), the world's largest open pit copper mine, has upgraded their site-wide installation of AlarmAnalyst. The alarm management system (AlarmAnalyst) was originally installed in 2006 and connected to their Provox, DVOP and DeltaV control systems. The upgrade includes unlimited site-wide clients running AlarmAnalyst v9 software. The upgrade provides Kennecott with the ability to leverage the latest capabilities in alarm management. | ||||||
